The Agency conducts public awareness initiatives to educate reporting entities, stakeholders, and the wider public on financial crime risks and compliance obligations. These initiatives help improve understanding of money laundering, terrorist financing, proliferation financing, and the role of financial intelligence in protecting the country.
Through outreach, publications, engagements, and awareness campaigns, the Agency encourages responsible reporting and stronger cooperation. Public awareness also helps build trust, promote compliance, and strengthen Botswana’s national financial crime prevention framework.
